Symptoms

Any behavioral changes that last more than two weeks and are quite uncommon could be symptoms of depression and these symptoms are a worthy reason to contact a doctor or psychiatrist. 

 

·       Unusual moodiness that is uncommon for that person.  

·       A state of frustration and prominent irritability.  

·       Sensitive to small personal criticisms

·       Less close to formerly close friends/family.

·       Loss of interest in most/all pleasurable activities

·       Insomnia.  

·       Binge drinking and smoking/drugs.  

·       staying at home and not going to work/school

·       physical fatigue and pain

·       reckless and unnecessarily acting dangerously.(e.g. Walking slowly deliberately across a busy road/Picking fights)

·       Slow thoughts and reactions.
