How do people get Depression

·      Genetics-If a person in the family has had depression, chances are genetics will give depression to someone else along the family line

·      Stressors-Being stressed makes a person desperate and extremely volatile and sensitive.

·      High anxiety-People who are anxious are also extremely volatile and sensitive. They jump to bad conclusions all the time and feel negative.

·      Changes in the Brain-Hormones acquired during puberty can result in irritation, frustration and violence-either taken out against someone else or themselves.

·      Personality-Some people are naturally sensitive to insult. One insult too many, and they may start believing them and feel that they are failures and become depressed.

·      Past bad events-Past bad events, especially when triggered with recent losses or disappointments can lead to a negative state of mind.

·      Family conflict or interpersonal conflict-especially when an abusive situation occurs can leave a person with no vent for their built-up emotions and sadness.

·      Drugs and alcohol-can make a person feel like a failure when people tell them what has become of them and personal insults regarding their addiction.

·      Poor working conditions-including, assault, rape, sexual assault and abusive insults that can lead to degradation and feelings of depression and shame/remorse.
