· What is schizophrenia?
Schizophrenia is a mental disorder that affects how a person think, feels and behaves, and is categorized by more common types of psychosis that include; irregularity in perception, content of thought, thought processes as well as the extensive withdrawal of interest from other people and the outside world. It can cause loss of personality, agitation, catatonia, catatonic immobility, confusion, psychosis (a disorder in which a person is not in touch with reality), unusual behavior, and withdrawal. The brain acquires information or messages from the senses but elucidates it differently.
